Okay.
Thanks for the new info on the rm command.
This is what I have now.

linux-mnz1:/home/steve/.kde/share/apps/konsole/profiles # ls
linux-mnz1:/home/steve/.kde/share/apps/konsole/profiles #     

Reads like Profiles file is now empty (?)
Now what?
