Hi Bernd,

Konsole uses the standard KDE 4 look and feel for tabs, so your problem presumably applies to all applications using tabs.  I agree that active/inactive tabs are not easy to distinguish with the default KDE 4 settings.

You can change the widget style in System Settings.  Go to (K-Menu) -> Computer -> System Settings -> Appearance -> Style and change the style to alter the look and feel of controls (buttons) etc. in KDE.  Under the Appearance section there is also a Colors section which allows you to change the color scheme and contrast used in KDE applications.
