Summary: highlighting in red reduces legibility
           Product: konsole
           Version: 1.6.6
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konsole-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: bkorb gnu org

Version: 1.6.6 (using KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: N/A N/A
OS: Linux

I also have a right hand scroll bar that gets smeared with
red from highlighting the right border with red. It both
looks ugly and requires a larger font size in order to be
able to read through the smearing. (It's a new, expensive
monitor that otherwise looks crisp and clear, so I do think
it is due to my eyes not liking red next to black on a white
background.) So, I wanted to turn off the fancy stuff and
stick with black on white. That does not seem to be allowed.
If you are going to add new default behavior, please also
allow someone who does not like it to easily determine how
to disable it. Thank you.
