Now for the hard to admit part : I've just retried and *it works perfectly*. I've been trying to make it work for days before filling the bug and tadaa... 
Sorry for wasting your time, I'll close the bug.

I don't know if I'll be able to reopen it later. I'll try a reboot to check if it goes back to previous b0rked state. I'm puzzled about what did change to make it work, and I'm sure to have kept the same configuration ...
