I monitored two other bugs on the same subject. It seems that using the --enable-transparency command line switch solved the problem for these bugs. It doesn't for me. I use the i810 Xorg driver, and I have KWin composition enabled without  problems popping elsewhere.

I'm still trying to figure out how to build a fresh Konsole, and I could spend more time to do it if it was required.
