No, this is not related to Qt.  I took the new/close tab buttons out
deliberately to encourage people to use the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+N or
M) instead, if you really want them however there is an option in Settings ->
Edit Current Profile -> Tabs to show them.
