Summary: new konsole windows flash white before showing up
           Product: konsole
           Version: 2.2
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konsole-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: sebas at kde.org

Version: 2.2 (using 4.1.85 (KDE 4.1.85 (KDE 4.2 Beta2)), compiled
sources)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-7-generic

Before a konsole window is showing up, the whole window seems to be painted
white, before it becomes transparant. Could be that the window would need to be
filled with Qt::Transparant instead of white, but the code looks to complicated
for me to find something like this right now.

This is especially visible when fading in konsole windows with translucent
background using KWin's effect.

It's especially visible in yakuake, where the terminal doesn't fade in, but
gets painted solid white instead of fading in nicely. (There, I've set the
animation speed to 0ms in order to not slow down the appearing of the window.

It seems to happen independant from the video driver used, I see this with the
nvidia blog, the ATI Catalyst blog and the free radeon driver.
Also, other apps seem unaffected, that's why I'm filing this under "konsole".
