More testing... something making the buffer scroll is not needed. I'm seeing it
with FF maximized and Konsole running full-screen (on separate screens, FF
screen has my panel), nothing besides Konsole on the other screen).

A single click with no mouse motion (tested by lifting the mouse off the table
before clicking) often selects from the click location to the end of that line.
When it happens there also seems to often be a noticeable delay before Konsole
gets focus.
