Hmm. I can't seem to reproduce it at home, either. But for whatever 
reason I usually see it at work, and have had the problem since about as 
long as I can remember.

Um. I wonder if it has something to do with xinerama? (i.e. that the 
mouse events are somehow different when the click also changes the 
active screen?)
