According to the Kubuntu bug report I've referenced, the scim-qtimm developer for Ubuntu personally uses neither scim-qtimm nor KDE (sigh), so it's not likely to get fixed by him. I don't like the situation... it would be nice if someone of the KDE people looked at this, but I can only hope.
