Same problem here. Deinstalling scim-qtimm fixes the problem.

I noticed that after the first terminal is loaded, ColorSchema::m_useTransparency is always resolving to false. Even for the first terminal, if you select the same schema again, it loses the transparency. On the settings dialog, all schemas are listed without transparency. If you set transparency and save the schema, and reload the settings dialog, the schema is still listed without transparency.
