I can confirm this bug.

Kubuntu 6.0.6
Konsole:1.6.4 (package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu1~dapper2)
Kde: 3.5.4

Work OK in 1.6.3, ie Not Bold is bold.

Fonts tried:
ProggyCleanTTSZ
Andale Mono
Bitstream Vera Sans Mono

Schema:
Xterm Color (Not bold echoed in grey, other text in black.)
Konsole Default (Not bold echoed black, other text black)

Is this bug caused by the fix:
Add 256 color support. Fixes bug 107487. See SVN commit 557629.
