I have similar problem - when new text is comming (not moving what I see) the selection is "scrolling". You can look at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=133860 for details, but in short:
1. type 'while /bin/usleep 50000; do echo $RANDOM; done'
2. wait to have 2/3 screens full with random numbers.
3. Press Shift-Up to get one screen up and wait some seconds.
4. double-click with the left mouse button a line, hold the left
button and try moving up or just left-right...
