Summary: prevent paste of newline characters
           Product: konsole
           Version: 1.4
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konsole-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: maarten treewalker org

Version: 1.4 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-243-default

Could you add an option to prevent pasting newline characters? So when text is pasted, only the text up to the first newline is pasted, the rest is ignored.

I usually have a shell running in Konsole. That means that newlines in the copy/paste buffer cause something to be executed before I have a chance to review it. I had a problem once where I wanted to remove a file, so I typed "rm " on the command line, then I wanted to paste the filename, but apparently something else was in the buffer and that something else started with a "*"...
