[Konsole-devel] Command input field length

SuSE 9.1 [pro] KDE 3.2.1

I have a silly but annoying issue with Konsole, I run KSH93 with PS1 set to
"`uname -n` \$PWD #" which works just fine, however I have a really
restricted input field at the prompt. I have counted 45 characters on
command line buffer before it word wraps and I get the + & < characters. Can
anyone tell me how I can get the input field to be the width of the window?
