Can I perhaps bribe someone to fix bug 76976 (patch to fix attached to
bug report)?
$20 on paypal?

Can someone please look at adding Adding AppScreen support in keytab.
The AppScreen logic already existed, but the ability to switch keys with
it was missing.
A simple patch to fix this is included in the bug report below
(currently Unconfirmed status. perhaps 'wishlist' is not strong enough).

One thing is often supported by editors or text windows in windows, kde,
gnome, motif is shift selecting.
Currently, if one needs to have shift selecting in a console editor in
konsole, there is a conflict with the shift scrolling. Sure, I can
redefine the keys not to do shift scrolling. But there is no reason not
to be able to do both. Allowing the keys to depend on AppScreen in the
keytab allows this. Editors like vi and fte will have AppScreen set, so
shift or alt can be used for a different purpose than when outside of an
editor.
I wrote the ncurses front end to the fte editor, fte.sourceforge.net.
And yes I wanted shift select to work, along with console scrolling.
