Just a note: this problem is *not* Vim specific.  I managed to reproduce it with elinks too (older Debian package 0.4.2.99-1, it can not be reproduced with latest 0.9.1-1, because it is no longer built against xlibs).  Problem seems to occur when application tries to *restore* previous xterm/konsole title.  Konsole adds extra "Shell - Konsole" to that title every time.  Tested with konsole from KDE 3.2.2.
