Whenever an event happens in the terminal that causes a terminal bell, as well as the correct behaviour (a beep), the whole window flickers and it pops up the box in the centre of the terminal showing the width and height of the terminal. E.g. "Size: 103x32" - the same one you get when you resize a Konsole window.
