I made a two mistakes in the first description of the bug. Selecting "Rename Session..."
from the context pop-up menu does not result in the mouse pointer disappearing.
Additionally, the problem is not a result of renaming the session, but rather open the
"Rename Session" dialog via the key stroke "Alt+Ctrl+S". When pressing any key the
mouse pointer hides (a normal feature when typing in Konsole), and this is true when
pressing "Alt+Ctrl+S" to rename the session. However, even if the Cancel button is
pressed in the dialog, the mouse pointer does return from hiding. I hope this is clear.
I did discover how to make the mouse pointer appear once again in the text region of
the session. If a new session is created by clicking on the "New" button in the toolbar,
the cursor once again becomes visible in the session's text region.
