Hello,
I just started using Konsole 1.1.3 (with KDE 3.0.3 and
Qt 3.0.5) and to my dismay I discover I can't use the
same exact font ('Normal') I was using with Konsole
1.0.2 (with KDE 2.2.2 and Qt 2.3.2) which was perfect
for me for having four tiled Konsoles that fit 80
characters per line on one 1024x768 desktop on my 17"
monitor, but the 'Normal' font with Konsole 1.1.3 is not
the same and the closest font that fits 80 characters
per line ('Small') has about the same width but is too
short and too difficult to read. All the default fonts
except 'Normal' seem to be the same between 1.0.2 and
1.1.3. Also, 1.1.3's 'Normal' is the same as its
'Medium' but in 1.0.2 they are different.
X11 font stuff confuses me to no end but if this helps
the great 'Normal' font in 1.0.2 looks the same as
-misc-fixed-medium-r-*-*-13-*-*-*-*-60-iso8859-1. I've
tried Konsole's '--font' argument with that but it
doesn't work, I've tried custom selection of fonts but
that doesn't offer the finetunning of 'Fixed [misc]'
that is needed, and I've tried messing around with the
'font,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,1,0' stuff in konsolerc but
couldn't get that to help.
It would be wonderfull if support for this font is
included again, or if it never left if someone can help
me get it working.
