[Konsole-devel] Bug#39977: Shell prompt does not appear

Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
Compiler:          gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.4.18
OS/Compiler notes: 

After starting Konsole the prompt never appears. At first I thought this was a font problem, but have changed fonts, turned on/off AA to no avail.
