Package: konsole
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.0.0 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.2.92
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.2 2.96-107)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-0.4custom
OS/Compiler notes:

Hi,

first let me thank you for that really nice new version of konsole (and KDE in general). 'Save History' and 'Find in History' were the items highest on my wishlist for a long time and now its there. Thanks for all the work.

Okay, here the wishlist item: in the Control Center under 'Look & Feel' -> 'Shortcuts' you can assign keyboard shortcuts to common actions, like 'Find' ('Application Shortcuts' -> 'Edit' -> 'Find'). Konsole should support that as much as possible.

Indeed, when I saw that added menu item, I instinctly hit 'Ctrl-F', expecting a Find window to come up. That nothing happened disturbed my workflow a lot.

This is also unpractical because it requires me to have the menubar visible, which wastes space.

Thanks for listening

Hans
