[Konsole-devel] Terminal Emulation Interface

Hi,
Those of you who followed the thread "konsole to kdelibs" on kde-devel
prolly remember that the idea came up to make it into an interface
like KRegExpEditor.

I now started this interface, and put my work in
kdenonbeta/terminalemulation.
I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at it, and give your
opinion on it. More specifically :
Do you think it's A Good Thing, and does it stand a chance to be
included ?

Here's some explanation of some things that might not be immediately
clear:
The directory kdenonbeta/terminalemulation/konsole contains the files
that should go in kdebase/konsole/konsole,
kdenonbeta/terminalemulation itself contains some files for
kdelibs/interfaces...

The idea is to have a widget which displays Vt102. Waldo Bastian told
me he was working on merging TEPty and KProcess, so the way that i
think the application programmer will see this interface is: he
creates a KProcess, and gives it its parameters, he creates a
TermEmuWidget, and then calls TermEmuWidget::setProcess() to connect
some of their respective signals and slots: most notably
KProcess::block_in, TEmulation::setSize and TEmulation::snd_block ( i
could have gotten the names wrong...).

Thanks for your attention
bye
domi
