OS/Compiler notes: 

When having a Transparent background schema with konsole, and a background program like xearth, not only a background image, the konsole may update its background (as when we either resize or move the window).
The refresh interval should logically be the refresh delay choosen in
Control center/Look & feel/Background/Setup
when Background tab and Background program mode are choosen.
