Subject: less handling in konsole
From: offerk at netvision.net.il

Package: konsole
Version: 1.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: dist- Mandrake 8.1

When using less in konsole, the current view is replaced with the contents of the file being viewed (rather then the output being appended to the current view, as in more, or as in less under xterm). When exiting less (e.g. hitting 'q'), the file contents disappear and the previous contents of konsole appears. The bug- when using the '-F' switch, less sees that the file is shorter than one screen, so it exits immediatly, and because exiting means losing the file contents view, you don't get to see the file contents at all!
Request- find a workaround for this particular situation, or provide a method to make less work the same way as more. Thanks :-)
