Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.2.2
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Programs like tf (TinyFugue) manipulate the curses window so that one part of the screen (the output) scrolls, while another part (the input area) stays in place. When using shift+PgUp and shift+PgDn at the Linux console, it is possible to view the text that has scrolled out of the window; this also works when scrolling in gnome-terminal. However, in konsole, this text never enters the scrollback. Scrolling up only displays whatever was in the scrollback before the program was started.

How to reproduce: obtain TinyFugue, start it, and do not enable /more. Type "/help topics" to get more than a screenful of information. You will not be able to read the top several lines of the output, because it has scrolled out of the window without going into the scrollback.

Expected behavior: areas of the screen which are scrolled in this way should go into the scrollback.
