 Unfortunately it only seems to happen on occasions.

 To reproduce it, output a load of text on the console, then scroll up, try to 
double click, if some text highlights, scroll up again, double click etc 
until it doesn't work. If it works with that text try some more text. When it 
does fail none of the text will be highlightable. It will fail eventually but 
I don't know the exact conditions.

 I can reproduce this more often if I cat a binary file then some text, scroll 
up into the binary part, the back down, then try to highlight the text 
portion with some of the binary showing. I don't know if that helps.
