Yes, qt4 is out of the question for the time being.
You have better try qt-x11 3.4.4, but as Anes, I have no clue on bitbake.

Also, it is often needed to add 
--with-qt-dir=path-to-qt
--with-qt-libraries=path-to-qt/lib
--with-qt-includes=path-to-qt/include
