help,error in compile kconquer

Hi:
my system is redhat9.0
THis is my env var:
export QTDIR=/root/qt/qt-2.3.4
export QPEDIR=/root/qt/qtopia-free-1.6.0
export QTLIB=/root/qt/qt-2.3.4/lib
i installed the qt-embeded-free-2.3.4 to /root/qt/qt-2.3.4 and compiled it.
the qtopia is in /root/qt/qtopia-free-1.6.0 and compiled ok
so,when i compile the kconquer/embeded snapshot 20030705,i got this error:
the command i use is :
./configure --disable-debug --enable-static --disable-shared
 --enable-qt-embedded --enable-qpe -without-ssl 

the error informatin is:

checking for libjpeg... -ljpeg
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 2.2.2) (library qte) not
found.
Please check your installation!
