ERROR: Can't drive depth 8

I get a "Can't drive depth 8" error when trying to run ./konqueror -qws from the 
konqueror-embedded-snapshot-20030705/konq-embed/src directory.

I combiled qt-embedded-2.3.0 with framebuffer support.

X, KDE, and GNOME are not installed...trying to test konqueror-embedded for a kiosk configuration.

QTDIR is set to the qt-2.3.0 directory
LD_LIBRARY_PATH is seet to qt-2.3.0/lib

I am new to all this...
