konq-e3 dependencies

Hi everyone,

Now that I've got my hands on a recent konq-e3 snapshot, I'm running
into some nasty dependency troubles.  Specifically, the configure
script requires kde-config, which I don't have.  I tried to find a
working binary, but couldn't so ended up building KDE.  Now, I'm
running into "mcopidl" not found, which I learn is in "arts".  But,
it requires libqt-mt, not libqte-mt.

It seems like I'm down some kind of desktop-centric rathole, when I
only use Qt/E and Konq/E.

Is there some way around this?
