I can confirm this on Kubuntu 25.04 (kompare 4:24.12.3-1ubuntu1) at ANY font
size setting when the display global scale is anything other than 100%. 
Occasionally, the panel is drawn correctly, but moving to another file or
position in the diff causes the problem again.

Attached is a screenshot with Hack (size 15), global scale 125%.
