The bug is still present.
While testing, I realized that the initial description to reproduce the bug is
slightly wrong.
The file contents should be as follows (the file on the left side should
contain the longer line):

File1.txt:
Line_1
Longer_Line_2
Line_3

File2.txt:
Line_1
Line_2
Line_3
