Please stop reopening this bug. There is clearly nothing to fix in upstream
Kompare anymore, and this bug is definitely a duplicate.

You have not specified the distribution you are using, but since you mentioned
"dnf", I guess you are using Fedora. We have Kompare 19.12.2 in Rawhide now. No
updates for Fedora 30 and 31 have been issued so far though. I can check with
Rex Dieter what the plan for the KDE Release Service applications is there, and
I can possibly issue an update of Kompare specifically, or an update
backporting the fix. (If, on the other hand, you are still using Fedora 29 or
older, then your release is no longer supported and will not be updated.)
