You can search bugs.kde.org Bugzilla for wishlist bugs against Kompare. Some 
are quite crazy ideas (like binary comparisons, which cannot even be done with 
diff), but others might make sense, though they are often quite hard to 
implement (which is the main reason I just filed them in the drawer). You can 
have a look and see whether there's anything in there which you think you can 
and want to implement.
