I was precise enough and i cant see why would it be needed a screenshot.

In your case i think that kde default is 'Monospace 10' and thats the font that
is set in kompare...

Why dont you try erasing ~/.kde/share/config/komparerc, change fixed width font
in systemsettings and then start kompare, then youll see that kompare will
continue using 'Monospace 10'.
