Summary: Ability to compare text pastes (without being saved to
file). I.E. From the pastebuffer.
Product: kompare
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kompare-devel at kde.org

Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources
Hello, I would like Kompare to have a feature to, when you start it, click a
button e.g. "New Comparison", this will open up a side-by-side text area, where
you can paste what you have in the pastebuffer (there are 2 text areas).
You can them hit the "Compare" button, and it will compare the differences
between them. Probably popping up another instance of Kompare to read the
information given by the first. This would probably make it easier to
implement, since one would just be two text areas, and then you can just export
that to a normal Kompare.
I find this handy when I just want to compare a few things, or small blocks of
text, etc.
Hopefully other people would find this useful too.
