Command line parameters?

I saw on Wikipedia that Kompare is a GUI on top of diff.  My question
is how can I pass parameters down to 'diff' ?

I want to be able to ignore case or ignore whitespace.  I did a
"kompare --help-all" and did not see anything

when I do "kompare -version" I get:

Qt: 3.3.3
KDE: 3.3.1-3.14 Red Hat
Kompare: 3.3


For all the options you have available I was surprised not to see any
options, or ability for the user to influence the 'diff' operation.
