Summary: KNode tries to expire articles twice on shutdown
Product: knode
Version: unspecified
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: knode-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: psychonaut at nothingisreal.com
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Under certain circumstances, Knode opens multiple redundant article expiry windows when exiting, each of which tries to expire the articles concurrently.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1) Open KNode. Make sure KNode is configured to automatically expire articles every n days.
2) After n days, close KNode. KNode pops up a progress window indicating that article expiry is taking place.
3) Log out of KDE. KDE tries to shut down all running applications, including KNode. For some reason KNode thinks it should start a new article expiry procedure, and opens another progress window.
I haven't tested this, but it might also be possible to evoke this bug by sending a kill signal to KNode instead of logging out of KDE in step #3.
