If it might help with troubleshooting, I can replicate this without the 
Appimage.  I installed craft on my linux system and did "craft kmymoney" 
which then fails to run with gwenhywfar errors - not quite the same as 
above.

This is just running kmymoney from within craft - no Appimage even 
created yet.
