line break in notes field

Are we talking about the "Memo" field in a transaction?  Because I can simply hit ENTER and it works for me, simply like in Notepad...  No need to press SHIFT+ENter for me.  KMM Appimage 5.2-4939 on Mint 23 (XFCE).
