Hi all,
I've been a happy user of KMyMoney for 16 years--thank you for providing such
a reliable tool! However, I’ve encountered challenges related to transaction
details that I’d like to share.
I currently use FinTS (Sparkasse in Rhineland) with SWIFT (MT940) for my
transactions. Since my wife and I share a joint account, I often need to
determine who initiated certain transactions, such as direct debits.
Unfortunately, this information isn’t available in MT940 raw data, so I
couldn't expect KMyMoney to show it either. However, since October 2018, the
MREF field in the Memo section has helped me attribute some direct debits,
which has been invaluable for resolving ambiguities.
Recently, my bank introduced the Kundensystem-ID check, requiring me to update
AqBanking. During this process, I discovered that CAMT is now supported and
offers significantly more structured and detailed information than MT940.
AqBanking, for example, imports: "NtryDtls/TxDtls/RltdPties/Dbtr/Nm" or
"NtryDtls/TxDtls/RltdPties/Cdtr/Nm" as "localName".
Unfortunately, KMyMoney does not seem to import or display this field when
switching to CAMT. Worse, the previously helpful MREF details no longer appear
in the Memo field. As a result, I cannot determine who (my wife or me)
triggered certain transactions.
As far as I know, there will be a mandatory switch to CAMT in November this
year. Does anyone know if KMyMoney supports these specific fields or if
there’s a workaround to view this information from AqBanking?
Gruß,
Jan
