Booking a loan as a lender

What have you tried, or should I ask if you have tried?

When you create a new loan account, on Step 3 of the wizard, the very 
first item is to set whether "I am borrowing money" or "I am lending 
money."  (Step 1 sets the institution, which is optional, and step 2 
sets the account name and account type (loan).  Leave the opening 
balance 0, and se the opening date to the date the loan is made.
