Cannot get to close an account

Hi everybody!

I have been trying to close an account in kmymoney for months, 
unsuccessfully. I know for sure that there are no references to it in 
the scheduled transactions, and that the balance is (displayed) zero. 
What else might be preventing me from closing this account? This is 
really frustrating, because there is no message (that I have been able 
to find, at least) explaining what's wrong. Is there any way to make 
kmymoney more verbose or so.

Besides this: this software is awesome.
