if you don't mind installing a slightly older version the easiest way is
through Ubuntu's software installation process.
If you like the shell:

sudo apt install kmymoney

The installation of actual maintenance release is described here:
https://kmymoney.org/appimage.html

AppImages are somewhat monolithic executable files including all required
libraries.
