Thomas

The fresh install was required because I used a sandbox programme that installed new apps and many problems on the upgrade to 18.04. Purged everything but then decided to start fresh.

Originally, as soon as KMM started I realised that the Tip box was inactive, (??) but entered some details, finding the problem with entering data in the account name field and on through to saving the data.

When I restarted the Tip box was now active so deselected (as per my normal practice), added some more data but this time crashed on saving.

In my original msg the third trace after the seg fault has items 6, 7, 31 & 32 showing no values.
I noticed that in June, where the crashing was apparently pix map related, that there the user's seg fault trace had values in those fields. I have no idea if this is in any way relevant.

After that I realised that by tweaking the rc file rather than just deleting /.config/kmm folder every time may bring an answer. Third attempt I got things right.

Apologies for the complete lack of technical info

Change the start date as appropriate (otherwise it defaults to Today) and enter a start balance. In doing this the Name field becomes active so enter as appropriate.
