No, there is not.  There is a request logged as a "wish list" at  
bugs.kde.org, but it is not very high on the priority list.  Most  
people find that even files with many years of data still perform  
reasonably well.  There is also an enhancement being worked on now  
which should further improve performance for files with very large  
amounts of data.
