It looks to me that the opening date of the "Opening Balances" account is the
problem here (which seems to be 01/01/10 - oh how I hate those two digit year
info).

Here's how you could solve that:

a) Select "Settings/Configure KMyMoney ..."
b) Select the "General/Filter" tab
c) Mark the "Show equity accounts" option
d) Press OK
e) Select the "Accounts" view
(you should now find the opening balances account)
f) Select the "Opening Balances" account
g) Use "Account/Edit account ..."
h) Change the opening date to at least 01/01/08 or prior
i) Press OK
j) Run "Tools/Consistency check" which should now show no more errors
k) Turn off the option (repeat steps a-d with a variation of c) if you want
l) Save the file

Hope that helps.
