Hi Thomas,

After trial and error I figured out what to do.

DO NOT edit file with notepad. It is a text editor, but do not preserve LF in the file, and that was the source of error.
EDIT the file with WORDPAD, for instance. It will preserve CR/LF in file.

No, there's no need to install old versions. Looks like your XML file has some problems to be detected as such. 

Can you start kmymoney from a DOS-Box (Windows-Shell) with the folowing
command:

  kmymoney "X:/Arquivos Privados/Rhaufed/KMyMoney/Fix.xml"

If that also fails, then it seems that your editor screwed up the file somwhow.
