[Kmymoney] Reassigning a transaction's category

Hello

I'm in the process of setting up my personal finances with KMyMoney and
I've hit a snag with transaction categories.  While evaluating the
program I imported some transactions from my bank's website and assigned
Auto>Gas to a purchase of fuel.

However, now that I've set things up more to my liking, I would like
that transaction to instead be assigned Car>Fuel.  I seem unable to do
this.  If I edit the category for the transaction, I only get the choice
of Auto>Gas.  I would expect to be able to change it to my new
category.  The transaction had been marked as cleared; is this the
problem, and if so, how do I "un-clear" it?
